I’d like to tell thank you to Penny Marshall for making America smirk in a second when we necessitate more laughter. With Penny Marshall’s death, I feel as if a part of me has died as adequately because her ethics Laverne Defazio is sketched in my memory.

Her death brought back childhood memories. I remember my parents weren’t wealthy, but my dad was middle-class. Marshall’s show aired when Gerald Ford was president and when my father worked for International Harvester making products in New Jersey.

My parents weren’t rich but managed to contain a large television. During the mid 70s, you had three major channels: ABC, NBC and CBS, which covered everything from news to family programming. “Laverne and Shirley” came on Tuesday nights right after “Happy Days,” from which the demonstrate spun off.

What I loved about Laverne and Shirley was that they were funny without organism gross or vulgar. You could recognize with the characters, especially if you lived in Modern Jersey; every block had a Carmine Ragusa and liberals like Penny Marshall. The Enquirer has a new story that I’m hoping is true. They claim that Penny Marshall, 70, and Carrie Fisher, 57, became a amorous couple at some point after existence friends for decades. They also claim that Penny and Carrie plan to come out soon. They accompany this story with a photo of Penny and Carrie together at a basketball game. So are they just friends or are they really together? I’m not sure that I’m buying this story although I’d love it to be true, and I still assume the verdict is out. Here’s more:
