Actor Yoo Ah In underwent his first police questioning for his gay sexual assault charges.

On August 29, reports revealed Yoo Ah In was summoned to the Yongsan Police Station yesterday for questioning concerning sexual assault allegations. As previously reported, the actor has been accused of sexually assaulting alleged victim A, who was reportedly asleep, in an officetel in Yongsan, Seoul.

Yoo Ah In's lawyer Bang Jung Hyun denied the accusations, stating, "The allegations connected to Yoo Ah In are not true. We petition that unnecessary speculation regarding his secret life be refrained from."

In other news, Yoo Ah In is also on trial for repeatedly administering propofol to himself under the guise of cosmetic procedures between September of 2020 and March of 2020 at hospitals in Seoul. On July 24, the prosecution sought a 4-year prison sentence against him.

On the Channel A show “Heard It Through the Grapevine,” restaurant owner and openly gay TV personality Hong Suk Chun spoke out about rumors of actor Yoo Ah In being gay.

It’s a rumor familiar in the industry – that Yoo Ah In is male lover. The rumors first started when Yoo Ah In was spotted at a popular gay bar and a picture of him there started circulating online. Even the actor himself knows of these homosexual rumors and has said before that the rumors are untrue and that the story has been twisted. He is reported to have said, “But that one photo has become like some caring of evidence that I am.”
