Are viktor and jayce gay

~Arcane!Viktor’s vaguely-queer-moments~ with commentary about how it might just be straight after all to keep myself in check. Alright, so I might miss something, sense free to add (although this is more for myself tbh, sort of a journal entry). Personally, I didn’t notice prefer half of this when I was watching for the first time and didn’t really think much about the possibility, however the second time I was quite surprised to notice that there was... eh, quite a bit. Also, this isn’t meant to cover anything from LoL lore, but it’s nice to remember that as a character he was originally a soviet-coded robotic mad scientist. Idk it’s not a very gay archetype by itself but it IS rather sensual. Anyway! 1) Saying 'it’s Viktor’ and then continuing to soulfully gaze into Jayce’s eyes for another couple of seconds as his theme swells (’It’s Viktor’, fittingly).
might just be fanservice for league players who remember aged champs, gasp, oh it IS viktor, the machine herald, plus letting the theme’s violin notes knock just right, plus this is the finishing scene before the story gets back to vi... kinda awkward tho?? 2) ‘Wait a minute, this isn’t my bedroom’ as t

Arcane Season 2 has been and gone, breaking our little hearts along the way. It's a show that very much puts the focus on relationships, with characters like Caitlyn and Vi, Jinx and Vi, and many more that don't involve Vi. One of the more beloved relationships in the series is Jayce and Victor, two passionate inventors that deeply care about each other, driven apart by their own mistakes.

Arcane fandom. "SPOILERS BELOW"
I am probably going to piss some people off but this wouldn't be the first moment anyway...
There is a difference between queer-coding and queerbaiting.
The exhibition has not once entertained the possibility that Jayce and Viktor could be together as a romantic couple. They are supposed to become almost "sworn enemies" in the future. Just favor Jinx and Vi, there was no happy ending for them.
THERE IS, however, much more prominent queer-coding with Viktor than Jayce ever had and I am talking specifically about just the character this hour. (The bedroom joke, the looks he gives Jayce, his rejection of his assistant who happens to be a woman, the "partner" talk, his outcast status among the other kids in episode 6.) It's very clear for Viktor that he is queer-coded now let's see if they will expand on it in the future.
Jayce has already been seen trying to strike Caitlyn (who herself is definitely queer) in the previous episodes and also Mel. And he did give that "brother" speech to her...
Also Jayce and Viktor are themselves paralleled to Jinx and Vi & Sil
